Job summary

Fountain Tire Burnaby is seeking a motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Burnaby. This role offers competitive wages and full benefits.

Diagnose, repair and maintain customer vehicles to manufacturer specs, with clear communication to customers. Day shifts with overtime available.

Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice with strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a registered 4th year Apprentice.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills to provide top mechanical services.
• A diagnostic specialist who keeps up with modern technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract annually.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions on customer vehicles.
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a schedule.
• Operate company and customer vehicles safely and cleanly.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support relationships.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
