Otter Co-op in Abbotsford, BC is seeking a Part-Time Server for the Highwayman Pub. You will greet customers, take orders, serve food and beverages, and process payments. This role requires a Serving It Right certificate, strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server is preferred.
• Knowledge of beer and wine pairings is an asset.
• Valid Serving It Right certificate required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, serve food and beverages, and process payments.
• Maintain a positive guest experience and assist teammates.
• Clean, restock, sanitize equipment and manage the POS system.
• Support team in upholding Core Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Server for our Highwayman Pub located in Abbotsford, BC.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the General Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and processing payments
• Maintain a positive attitude while providing an exemplary guest experience
• Cleaning, restocking and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
• Navigate and operate the POS System
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are

You are looking for a career in Hospitality and:

• Previous Serving experience an asset
• Knowledge and appreciation for beer and wine pairings is an asset
• Valid Serving it Right Certificate required
• Must have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a strong work ethic
• This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Preference will be given to applicants with open availability and able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• This position is based at the Highwayman Pub, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work from other locations as business needs arise
