Otter Co-op is hiring a part-time Liquor Store Associate for the Angry Otter Liquor at Duffy's in Kamloops, BC. You will provide excellent customer service, process transactions, balance drawers, stock shelves, and receive deliveries while keeping the store organized.

The role requires Serving It Right, being 19+ with open availability for mornings, afternoons and late evenings; WSET 1 is encouraged to obtain within the first year. Competitive wages and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right license required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Must be over 19 years of age and have open availability.
• WSET 1 accreditation must be obtained within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Balance register drawer at end of shift per procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Duffy's located in Kamloops, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

• WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must have reliable transportation has bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings (closing shifts ending at 10pm). Special need for candidates with Monday-Friday evening availability.
• This position is based out of the Duffy's Liquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
