Otter Co-op is seeking a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate for the Angry Otter Liquor @ Valleyview location in Kamloops, BC. The role reports to the Liquor Store Manager and focuses on delivering friendly customer service, accurate register transactions, and shelves upkeep.

Applicants must be 19+, have Serving It Right license, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and be available for mornings, afternoons, and late evenings. WSET 1 must be obtained within the first year.

Qualifications

• Liquor retail experience preferred.
• Serving It Right license required.
• Must be 19+ and have reliable transportation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• WSET 1 accreditation must be obtained within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous manner.
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns; activate gift cards.
• Balance register drawer at end of shift per procedures.
• Stock, face, and rotate products on shelves.
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized.
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales.
• Contribute to the team by upholding Integrity, Community and Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Otter Co-op is now accepting applications for a Part-Time Liquor Store Associate at our Angry Otter Liquor @ Valleyview located in Kamloops, BC.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Liquor Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Provide excellent customer service to guests in a courteous, efficient manner
• Process register transactions, refunds, and returns, activate gift cards
• Ensure register drawer is balanced at the end of shift following company procedures
• Stock, face, and rotate products on the shelves
• Receive, check, and put away deliveries
• Keep store and storage areas clean and organized
• Utilize product knowledge to promote sales
• Contribute to the Team in living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community and Excellence
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations as well as:

• Liquor retail experience is preferred
• Serving it Right license is required

• WSET 1 minimum accreditation is required to be obtained within the first year of employment
• Ability to physically lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for full 8 hour shift
• Must be committed to a SAFE working environment
• Must have reliable transportation has bus is not always reliable for all shifts
• MUST be over 19 years of age to be considered
• MUST have open availability and able to work a variety of shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and late evenings (closing shifts ending at 10pm)
• This position is based out of the Valleyview Liquor Store, though it may require on some occasions to travel and work at other locations as business needs arise
