Job summary

Oliver & Bonacini in Toronto is seeking a Server Assistant to support front-of-house teams. You will inspect tables for mise en place, assist with food running and maintain a clean, guest-focused dining floor. You’ll work closely with servers and hosts to optimize seating and guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least 1 year in a fast-paced restaurant, weekend/evening availability, and a Smart Serve certification. A passion for hospitality and French-inspired dining is an asset.

Qualifications

• 1 year previous experience in a fast paced restaurant environment
• Valid Smart Serve Certification, required.
• Weekend availability to work evenings, holidays and weekends
• High attention to detail and calm under pressure
• Knowledge of French cuisine is an asset

Responsibilities

• Assist with food running and ensuring plates arrive to the proper guest
• Maintain section cleanliness and stock condiments and supplies
• Communicate with Servers/Hosts to maximize seating and guest experience
• Monitor food quality and presentation; ensure food safety standards
• Support servers by inspecting tables for mise en place and readiness
• Other duties as assigned or required
