Job summary

The Drake Hotel in Toronto is seeking Server Assistants to join our energetic, hospitality-driven team. You will support high-volume service, coordinate with Front and Back of House, and help deliver memorable guest experiences.

The role requires 1-2 years in customer service, a willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and a collaborative mindset. We offer development opportunities, training programs, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service role (Food + Beverage an asset).
• Willingness to enter the hospitality industry and learn fast.
• Energetic, active, and capable of handling repetitive tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.
• Desire to develop Food and Beverage knowledge and hospitality experience.
• Must have flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables rapidly and accurately.
• Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House teams.
• Assist servers with table setting by placing and removing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins.
• Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards.
• Describe components of the dish to guests.
• Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
