The Postmark Hotel in Newmarket, Ontario is hiring a part-time Server to deliver exceptional guest dining experiences. You will work in our lively Food & Beverage outlets, serving guests with a friendly, professional approach and using MICROS for transactions.

We seek candidates with 2+ years of serving experience, the ability to thrive in a high-volume setting, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude. Weekend availability is a must, and growth opportunities exist within Archive Hospitality Group.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables.
• Serve food and beverages to guests and make recommendations.
• Share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely.
• Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course.
• Clean tables, complete closing duties and restock supplies.
• Comply with Archive standards, policies and procedures.
• Other tasks assigned by management.

Server (Permanent Part-Time)

The Role at a Glance

This role plays a key role in all Food & Beverage Outlets within to serve our guests in a friendly and professional manner, and work as a team member to ensure all tasks are completed before a shift end. Our servers have strong cocktail & beer knowledge and experience and work in a fast paced/high volume dynamic environment. This role reports into the F&B Manager.

Your Day To Day Duties

• Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
• Serve food and beverages to guests & making recommendations if needed
• Share your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
• Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
• Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage
• Clean tables, complete closing duties and re‑stock tableware and other supplies
• Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

You have

• 2 yrs of previous serving experience preferred
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high volume environment
• Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality
• Able to stand/walk for long hours
• Must have open availability on weekends
