Job summary

National Logistics Services (NLS) is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a department, ensure SOPs and KPIs are achieved, and coach staff to maximize performance. You will coordinate with internal teams to meet client SLAs while upholding safety and quality standards at our Mississauga facility.

The role requires 3-5 years in supervision, 3PL logistics experience, and proficiency with WMS and MS Office. A strong leader with excellent communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong computer skills, MS Office.
• Experience in a 3rd party logistics environment.
• Knowledgeable and skilled using a warehouse management system (WMS).
• Demonstrated strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be a resourceful self-starter with exceptional labour planning skills.
• Team player with the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift cartons or bins weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum High School diploma; College diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a department and ensure SOPs and KPIs are met.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training; cross-train for coverage.
• Assess employees and conduct progressive discipline when necessary.
• Handle attendance, pay inquiries, and HR-related questions.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Transportation and Inventory Management.
• Ensure safety standards and housekeeping compliance.
• Allocate equipment and monitor resource use across Receiving, Processing or Shipping.
• Participate in client calls and various projects.
