Job summary

Definity is seeking an intermediate-level Underwriting and Billing professional in Personal Insurance to support complex file analysis and pricing decisions. You will mentor internal teams, guide brokers on products and guidelines, and manage inquiries across underwriting and billing with a focus on risk assessment.

The role emphasizes strong technical underwriting knowledge, collaboration with the CSM team, and a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal insurance (auto and property) or underwriting.
• Bilingual (French and English) both spoken and written is a must.
• University or college diploma or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex inquiries and accommodation requests related to underwriting, billing, products, and pricing (via phone and email).
• Act as a subject-matter expert by providing support and guidance on our products and guidelines to brokers, while explaining premium dislocation and the rationale for changes in our risk appetite.
• Acts as an internal point of contact for advice and technical support to representatives, guiding decision-making and addressing inquiries from other teams.
