Definity Financial Corporation is seeking an intermediate Underwriter and Billing Specialist for Personal Insurance. Reporting to the Team Leader, the incumbent will analyze complex inquiries, support underwriting and billing decisions, and guide brokers with clear rationale for pricing and policy changes.

The role requires 2+ years in personal auto/property underwriting, a university/college diploma, and bilingual English/French.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in personal insurance (auto and property) or underwriting.
• University or college diploma or equivalent work experience.
• CIP designation (completed or in progress) is an asset.
• Bilingual French and English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex inquiries and accommodation requests related to underwriting, billing, products, and pricing (via phone and email).
• Provide subject-matter expert guidance on products and guidelines to brokers, with rationale for changes in risk appetite.
