You will leverage deep knowledge of commercial lines, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics to write and renew accounts that align with our risk appetite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
• Six years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication to negotiate with brokers and managing companies.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with INI partners and brokers to fulfill sales plans.
• Market and cross-sell Definity products with brokers to write and retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Underwriters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
