Job summary

Qualifications

• CCS or CTCS preferred.
• Canadian Customs Broker License or willingness to actively obtain.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an international trade environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and CRM.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification of imported products.
• Researching and interpreting Customs rulings for HS classification.
• Use reference sources like the HS Tariff schedule and Explanatory Notes.
• Prepare, submit and manage binding classification ruling requests to the CBSA.
• Knowledge of Customs Valuation and its interpretation.
• Understand international trade agreements and Canadian export regulations.
• Familiarity with the CBSA CARM Client Portal.
• Communicate with domestic and international clients and maintain relationships.
• Engage with CBSA contacts and participate in client meetings.
