The role requires a bachelor's degree in business/international trade or supply chain, 1+ year trade compliance experience, knowledge of HS codes and ITAR/EAR, and strong MS Office skills; SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, or supply chain management.
  • 1+ year experience in trade compliance or customs management.
  • Familiarity with HS codes, ITAR/EAR, Incoterms.
  • Experience with CBSA/CARM Portal is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure incoming goods comply with Canada Border Services Agency requirements, including tariff classifications and trade data management through the CBSA CARM Portal.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, couriers, freight companies, and government agencies to facilitate smooth import processes and adhere to applicable trade regulations.
  • Work with internal teams to classify goods under Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes and support trade compliance initiatives.
  • Monitor customs clearance progress and swiftly resolve any issues or delays to maintain supply chain efficiency.
  • Interface regularly with third-party logistics providers and internal stakeholders to facilitate customs processes and documentation.
