Job summary
Kent Plc aims to hire a Senior Telecom Engineer to support FEED, detailed engineering, and brownfield/greenfield scopes for client proposals and execution projects in the Edmonton region. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in industrial telecommunications systems, proven P.Eng experience in Alberta, and the ability to interface with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
We are open to candidates based out of Calgary or Sarnia offices as well, with responsibilities
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Active P.Eng registration with APEGA.
- 10+ years telecom engineering in industrial or energy sector environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review telecom system design packages including data, voice, fiber optic, wireless, PAGA and security systems.
- Lead telecom engineering activities on FEED and Detailed Engineering for brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Perform system integration reviews and technical evaluations.
- Provide troubleshooting support for telecom networks and field systems.
- Interface with vendors and client teams; produce documentation and reports.
