Job summary

ADGA Group, a Canadian-owned defence and security company, seeks a Senior Technical Writer in the National Capital Region to plan, develop, review, and maintain a broad range of technical documentation for complex projects and systems.

You will translate technical information into clear content, collaborate with developers and SMEs, and ensure materials meet established standards while supporting end users and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as Technical Writer at senior level.
• 10+ years direct technical writing experience on key responsibilities.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, concise content.
• Prepare manuals, technical docs and web content.
• Gather information from developers and SMEs.
• Coordinate visuals and diagrams to support docs.
• Design, format and review documentation for quality.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain user manuals, help text, requirements, tech docs, web content.
• Review standards, assess existing documentation for quality and accuracy.
• Determine documentation requirements and develop plans.
• Gather information from developers and SMEs for accuracy.
• Develop purpose/ scope statements and document structures.
• Write, edit and organize technical content; verify accuracy.
• Coordinate illustrations and visual materials for documentation.
• Deliver final versions of technical documentation.
