Job summary

Vital Bio in Oakville, Ontario, seeks an experienced technical recruiter for a six-month contract with potential to go permanent. You will own full-cycle recruiting for specialized engineering and manufacturing roles, building pipelines and using AI-powered tools to accelerate hiring while ensuring a strong candidate experience.

You will partner with hiring managers to translate complex requirements into targeted search strategies and actively source passive candidates in competitive markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in engineering, manufacturing, or highly technical fields.
• Proven ability to independently source, engage, and close passive candidates for difficult roles.
• Advanced sourcing: Boolean search, talent mapping, targeted outreach and creative identification.
• Able to understand complex technical requirements and engage with engineering professionals.
• Experience with AI-enabled recruiting tools and automation to boost effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for specialized engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles.
• Develop proactive sourcing strategies to engage passive candidates in competitive markets.
• Build talent maps and pipelines using networks, direct outreach, and market intel.
• Partner with hiring managers to align on hiring strategies and technical requirements.
• Assess candidates for technical fit, motivation, and role alignment; manage the process end-to-end.
• Leverage AI sourcing and automation to improve discovery, outreach, and workflows.
• Maintain momentum and high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring lifecycle.
• Use data to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
