Job description

Your New Role and Team

We’re trail blazing the future of Physical AI for general purpose robots - and to do that, we need to hire some of the most uniquely talented people on the planet. That’s where you come in.

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll play a key role in scaling our world-class team. Reporting to the Manager, People & Talent, you’ll lead full-cycle recruitment for a wide range of roles - primarily highly technical (software, hardware, ML, research), but also essential corporate and operational positions. You’ll be working on roles that often don’t exist elsewhere, partnering closely with hiring managers to bring on the brilliant minds that will shape the future of robotics.

We’re looking for someone who’s deeply curious, thoughtful, and unafraid to experiment, especially when it comes to sourcing niche, hard-to-find talent. Whether you’re diving into GitHub, combing through academic papers, or discovering talent in hidden online communities, you bring energy, creativity, and precision to every search.

This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to convert to full-time.

Success Criteria
  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle - from crafting job descriptions and sourcing to interviewing and delivering offers
  • Partner with hiring managers to fill high-impact roles across software, hardware, machine learning, and research-driven teams, as well as other key functions that support our mission
  • Source creatively and proactively by tapping into platforms and communities beyond LinkedIn, including GitHub, Juicebox, Google Scholar, academic conference proceedings (such as ICRA, CVPR, IROS, CoRL, and NeurIPS), lab websites, academic networks and advisors, and preprint servers such as arXiv.
Your Experience
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting or sourcing roles - preferably with exposure to deep tech, engineering, or research-heavy organizations
  • Strong sourcing skills, with the ability to uncover and engage talent through nontraditional channels and platforms where engineers and researchers share their work (e.g., academic publications, technical communities, open-source contributions)
Skills
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting, interviewing frameworks, and talent evaluation
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems - experience with Lever and/or Ashby is especially valuable
  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate the requirements of complex, interdisciplinary roles
Traits
  • Inclusive, thoughtful, and collaborative - you value different perspectives and know how to build trust
  • Creative and resourceful - you’re energized by tough searches and unconventional candidate journeys
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple open roles across different functions
  • Curious and always learning - about people, tools, and the evolving world of work and technology

About Sanctuary AI

Founded in 2018, Sanctuary builds humanoid robots and a novel control system for them that integrates symbolic logic and reasoning with data-driven robot foundation models. We use our robots to collect vision, audio, touch, and proprioception data from the perspective of the robot while they perform real-world work tasks. We use that data to train multimodal robot foundation models. Because our systems are vertically integrated, we can design, deploy, and refine at scale. Our mission is to create the world's first human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots.
