Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to lead MV substation design and project management in a collaborative team. You will contribute to conceptualization, planning, and execution of high voltage projects.

The role requires a BS Eng, 5+ years MV design, strong communication, and ability to travel to client sites. Hybrid schedule: in-office 3 days/week with remote work two days; relocation package offered.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 5+ years experience in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budgets and time constraints.
• Experience tracking schedules and expenditures and client interfaces.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience reviewing design drawings by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead project conceptualization, work planning and execution.
• Troubleshoot and solve electrical engineering issues on projects.
• Prepare concise reports meeting client requirements and S&L formats.
• Collaborate with teams via Communities of Practice for knowledge sharing.
• Potential travel to client sites as needed.
