Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Calgary, Canada, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a project team handling the detailed electrical design and management of high voltage substations. You will contribute to conceptualization, planning, and execution of projects, solving complex electrical engineering challenges and preparing clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from a CAN/ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years in the design of Medium Voltage Power Systems.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
• Experience tracking project information such as schedules and expenditures against budgets.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Tackle challenging MV electrical engineering issues and provide solutions.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information per S&L formats.
• Share knowledge with peers through Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
