Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design of commercial buildings. This fully remote role involves conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing structural integrity from inception to completion, in collaboration with a dispersed team.

You must have a Master's in Structural Eng, PrEng with ECSA, 8+ years, and proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and CAD, plus knowledge of SA building codes.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
8+ years of experience in structural engineering with focus on commercial buildings.
PrEng registration with ECSA.
Proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure and CAD software.
In-depth knowledge of South African building codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design for commercial projects from concept to completion.
Perform complex analyses and design calculations for steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
Develop detailed structural drawings, specs, and reports using advanced software.
Ensure designs comply with NBR and SANS codes.
Mentor remote junior engineers and CAD technicians.
