Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a globally distributed, remote-first team. Lead conceptualization and detailed design of advanced mechanical systems, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams.

You will use SolidWorks, CATIA, and ANSYS for 3D modeling, stress and thermal analyses, and drive engineering excellence through innovative materials and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Exposure to remote collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems from concept through production.
• Use CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS) for 3D modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Perform stress, thermal, and dynamic analyses to verify performance.
• Research and implement new technologies and materials to drive innovation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with remote product managers, electrical engineers, and manufacturing teams.
