Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

This role involves assessing athletes' psychological needs, developing individualized intervention strategies, and delivering training to improve focus, resilience, confidence, and performance under pressure. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of sports scientists and medical professionals, contributing to the overall development and success of athletes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments of athletes to identify mental strengths and areas for development.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Sport Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counseling Psychology.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HPCSA).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with athletes and sports teams.
• Proven expertise in performance enhancement, stress management, and team dynamics.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in research and delivering workshops is highly desirable.
