Job summary

What You Will Be Doing
  • Deliver psychological services as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
  • Conduct psychological assessments and counselling to support functional recovery
  • Facilitate psychology groups and relaxation training programs aimed at reducing disability-related impacts
  • Mentor undergraduate Psychology interns
  • Assist with program development and service enhancement
  • Collaborate with psychology peers to ensure best practice and clinical excellence
  • Participate in specialized teams (e.g., Complex Injury, Traumatic Psychological Injury, Brain Injury) as part of ongoing professional development and evolving business needs
Experience Snapshot
  • The Short Version of Experience Needed: Experience treating trauma and conducting formal assessments on adults, trauma psychology treatment programs, psych injury screens, trauma processing and treatment plans, working within a collaborative environment with other disciplines or willingness to work in such an environment.
  • One of these three certifications: EMDR, PE, or CPTE

  • Completion of a Master’s Degree in Psychology
  • Active registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Completion of an internship from a CPA-accredited facility or equivalent
  • Preference given to candidates who have completed: 1,600 hours of supervised practice
  • Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
  • Preferred experience: Interdisciplinary notice setting involving assessment and treatment of diverse psychological conditions
  • Experience supporting clients with physical injury, chronic pain, and disability
  • Research and/or psychological consulting experience (asset)
