The Role

We looking for a Senior Specialist for Wellness, Recognition & HR Systems to support our client in Mississauga, Canada. This opportunity will require the candidate to work onsite at our client four days a week (M-Thursday) Friday will be remote in Mississauga.

The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Human Resource Systems and ensure the data integrity of data interfacing from our HR System (Workday) to downstream systems. This role will be responsible for improving the HR data and transaction processes, data integrity, systems enhancements, reporting and analysis and create efficiencies to support Samsung Canada. The role will center on fully leveraging the HR Systems and the Ur Awesome System (Achievers).

This role is responsible for SECA’s Well-being Program across the Mental, Financial and Physical wellbeing pillars. In this capacity, the incumbent is responsible for developing, organizing, implementing, and assessing health and well-being programming for Samsung employees.

Manage the recognition program and system from an operational standpoint.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop, plan, market and execute on company-wide well-being and benefit initiatives and programs (i.e. fitness classes, lunch n’ learns, health fair, well-being challenges, information sessions, clinics, etc.).
  • Develop creative and engaging communications to promote a healthy lifestyle and participation in well-being programs.
  • Analyze health programs and policies to evaluate performance, effectiveness, and areas of potential cost optimization or program improvement.
  • Promote the company's well-being program at New Hire Orientation sessions and meetings as required.
  • Assist in the execution and administration of the company's core Mental Well-being Training.
  • Serve as an employee well-being resource contact to company's employees.
  • Source and liaise with contractors and well-being practitioners for health fair, fitness classes, lunch n learns, information sessions, etc.
  • Maintain well-being budget tracking, calendar of events and records.

HR Systems – 40%

  • Ensure the integrity of data input in the HR systems in support of payroll, benefits, recognition organization charts, incentives, Time off and HR end user day-to-day operations, processing and reporting. Design and implement data integrity checks and drive the HR team on the importance of accuracy.
  • Write, maintain, support and deliver a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports, develops metrics, dashboards and enterprise reporting as needed. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
  • Analyze HR operations and related metrics to identify errors, user training needs and efficiency trends; implement related improvements
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of HR system information as used by management, third party administrators and regulatory authorities. Includes monitoring and analyzing HR information flow through manual and automated processes
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train existing/new users on new processes/functionality.
  • Responsible for leveraging the HRIS identifying system enhancements, and exploring system capabilities
  • Manage the administration of the HRIS and the interface with our Payroll systems and benefit carriers. This includes ensuring data integrity through management of data, designing audit controls, administering access, establishing tables, and running management reports.
  • Research issues, recommend process improvements and implement system or process changes to improve accuracy and increased efficiency between HR and Payroll systems.
  • Develop manager and employee self-service capabilities.
  • Manage the operational and systems aspect of the U r Awesome recognition program
  • Ensure that all new hires have their data completed prior to start and ensure that data for all employees is current and complete through regular audits and targeted communications
  • Total Rewards Operations
  • Ensure timely submission of all invoices related to total rewards for payment using the finance system.
  • Keep current all job descriptions in current JD template and work with HR BPs for missing information/data to ensure that all active roles have an updated/current job description and is updated for all details
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 4-5 years of work experience in a similar capacity preferred
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft business applications software, compensation software packages, and HRIS systems.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills to deal professionally with both internal and external parties
  • Customer service oriented, sensitive to customer issues and understand the importance of diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external management, vendor, or agency personnel. This includes a high degree of sensitivity and change management abilities to intercultural personal and corporate dynamics.
