Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO, www.youthhubs.ca) is a network of 32, Integrated Youth Services (IYS) hub networks operating in 40 communities, providing youth (ages 12-25) with walk-in access to mental health and wellness services. YWHO emphasizes youth, family, and partner engagement through co-creation, ensuring services are relevant, acceptable, and youth-friendly. The hubs offer evidence-based services including mental health care, substance use support, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer and family support, and care navigation, all within youth-friendly spaces. Outcomes are rigorously evaluated to focus on wellness outcomes important to youth and families.

Position Description

The YWHO Provincial Office is seeking two (2) full-time, 12-month contract Program Consultants (Integration and Implementation Specialists) for the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) initiative. These specialists will report to the YWHO Program Manager Provincial Initiatives and support the planning and implementation of GBV supports across ten YWHO networks in Ontario.

This position is fully remote within Ontario, with travel required for in-person meetings, including in Toronto.

Responsibilities

  • Foster collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, including youth, families, service providers, researchers, and policymakers, to develop and implement a GBV care pathway within YWHO networks.
  • Ensure the care pathway is evidence-based, meets local needs, and supports system change through facilitation, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and support education and training resources related to GBV for YWHO networks.
  • Create and monitor implementation plans, tools, and reporting processes, utilizing project management and implementation science approaches.
  • Facilitate working groups and youth advisory meetings, leveraging anti-racism/anti-oppression and health equity principles.
  • Support a culture of quality improvement and collaborate within a Learning Health System environment.
  • Assist in developing an evaluation framework for pathway implementation across networks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, education, social studies, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in youth mental health, GBV, or related health/social services.
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s youth mental health/substance use system and GBV supports.
  • Experience with co-design, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and clinical practice implementation.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and social justice, with understanding of gender-based discrimination.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with web-based tools, MS Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and ability to travel as needed.

Additional Assets

  • Clinical experience in youth mental health.
  • Project management and implementation science expertise.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based care practices and health promotion principles.
  • Research, quality improvement, and change management experience.
