This is a casual role scheduled primarily for 1-2 days/week (Tuesday - Thursday and Saturday) with mandatory Wednesday availability, along with flexibility to cover last minute sick calls.
There will be a need to cover some weeks full-time (Monday - Saturday) during the summer and later in the year.
This role will work primarily at our Oakville clinic which is located at 2275 Upper Middle Road E. and has free parking!
What You'll Do:
Conduct InBody testing using an InBody 770 scale (bioelectrical impedance)
Conduct a variety of Muscle and Joint Fitness testing pertaining to different module choices from the client
Conduct Anthropometric measurements (height, waist, hips and weight)
Conduct Nutrition Consultations
Identify unhealthy eating patterns
Identify nutrient deficiencies
Discuss dietary modifications relating to body composition results
Conduct Sub-max VO2 testing using the Bruce Protocol
Proficiency using a treadmill or cycle ergometer
Measure exercise BPs
Update results from the above testing to generate reports for each patient
Provide clients recommendations and corrective exercises based on results
Provide individual, goal-oriented action plans on how the client can achieve the desired results
Monitor and facilitate the flow of patients through the Clinic
Be an on-going point of contact for any client that has specific questions based on their report
Coordinate with other clinic staff to ensure exceptional delivery of service and value time to our clients
What You'll Need:
Must hold a Certified Exercise Physiologist designation (CSEP or related) or a Registered Kinesiologist (R. Kin) designation (CEP is preferred).
One or more of: Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology or Health Sciences, Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion (or related), or Personal Training/Fitness Assessment Certificate.
A valid form of Nutrition Certification (CanFitPro, ISSA etc)
Prior experience conducting graded exercise testing
2+ years prior healthcare experience
Current CPR certification
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Client service experience
Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
Strong organization and time management
