Jobgether in Canada is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to own end-to-end quality strategy for a cloud platform. You will design scalable automated testing frameworks for backend services and UIs, and lead efforts to integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines in a remote-first environment.

You will leverage AI-assisted workflows, exploratory testing, and strong debugging to improve product reliability while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in quality assurance or software testing with senior or staff level experience.
• Hands-on programming in Go, Python, or JavaScript with test automation experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for complex apps.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and integrating test suites into pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience using AI tools to support software quality activities with strong judgment.

Responsabilités

• Lead scalable automated testing frameworks for backend services and UIs.
• Define comprehensive test strategies aligned with product objectives and reliability.
• Collaborate early with engineering/product teams to improve testability and set quality standards.
• Identify reliability risks in architecture/design discussions and propose improvements.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalents.
• Perform exploratory testing to catch usability issues and edge cases not covered by automation.
• Use AI-assisted tools to support test planning and automation while validating outputs.
• Manage multiple projects with competing priorities in a fast-paced startup.
