Job summary

The Forest Group is seeking a Senior Site Supervisor to lead site activities, coordinate field reviews, and ensure safety and quality across projects in the Greater Toronto Area. This role demands hands-on supervision, strong team collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple sites from start to finish.

Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering or construction management background, 5+ years of supervision experience, excellent communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction supervision experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and controlling all aspects of the work at the project, providing professional leadership for all site activities.
  • Scheduling, coordinating and participating in all field reviews and site inspections.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant safety policies, practices, procedures, rules and regulations in the jurisdictions in which work is being completed.
  • Managing projects from start to completion, ensuring that they remain on schedule, under budget and meet quality/contract standards.
  • Inspecting all completed jobs to ensure that deficiencies are dealt with before the projects are closed and ensuring that any out-of-scope work is identified and communicated to our Contract Administration team.
  • Performing field measurements accurately and effectively and reporting to all relevant parties.
  • Documenting any errors in the work and immediate notification to the responsible parties in writing together with supporting documentation.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with the project team internally within the organization and externally with clients, consultants and trade contractors.
  • Communicating with crews on transportation, equipment and material resource requirements for all your projects.
  • Acting as a liaison between field operations and contract administration and participating in meetings as required.
  • Maintaining detailed records of all site events including notes, photographs and reports.
  • Ensuring field crews enter their working hours into daily field logs.
  • Reviewing and approving or denying field logs. Monitor hours to minimize slippage.
  • Managing a snow route during winter operations which may require overnight work.

We are currently looking for a full time Senior Site Supervisor to join our growing team!

Our ideal hire would have an in-depth understanding of construction management procedures and experience in planning, scheduling, and assessing project specific needs such as materials, licenses, permits, and equipment. We are looking for a motivated self starter, who works well within a team or independently.

As a Senior Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Qualified Candidates Will Possess
  • Diploma and/or degree in the field of civil engineering or construction management
  • A minimum of 5 years of Construction Supervision experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Effective time management and the ability to adapt to a fast paced work environment
  • A high degree of professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Bid2Win (B2W) software is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • A valid Driver’s License
