Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Manager for its Security Endpoint Protections team. You will lead a globally distributed engineering group focused on visibility, prevention, and on-device machine learning for Elastic Defend across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

You will mentor engineers, own the roadmap, and drive feature delivery. You will oversee ML direction, ensure cross-platform parity, and represent the team to customers and at conferences, shaping the next generation of endpoint security

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing senior engineers on globally distributed teams.
• Hands-on security research background, with attacker TTPs knowledge.
• Deep OS internals knowledge, kernel and user mode, Windows preferred.
• Experience in reverse engineering and malware analysis.
• An adversarial mindset, designing for resilience against evasion.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and exec audiences.
• Comfort working autonomously in distributed environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate work.
• Ability to rotate across projects and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a globally distributed engineering team; guide senior researchers and manage hiring.
• Own the roadmap, balance protection engines, and deliver features on release timelines.
• Connect work to Elastic Security; enable new detections and protections across the product.
• Direct the team's machine learning work: model development, data quality, telemetry features.
• Drive cross-platform protection parity across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Represent the team externally: present at conferences and engage with customers.
