Job summary

Elastic is seeking a Senior Manager for the Elastic Security Endpoint Protections team to lead a globally distributed engineering group focused on visibility, prevention, and on-device ML across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will guide senior researchers, own the roadmap, and balance performance with protection in a scalable endpoint security platform.

You will drive machine learning direction, enforce cross-platform parity, and represent the team externally via conferences and community

Qualifications

• Leadership of senior technical contributors on a globally distributed team.
• Hands-on security research experience before moving into leadership.
• Deep OS internals knowledge, kernel and user mode, Windows focus preferred.
• Hands-on reverse engineering and malware analysis experience.
• Adversarial mindset for anticipating evasion before shipping protections.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and executive audiences.
• Able to thrive in a distributed, autonomous environment.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate feature development.
• Ability to rotate across projects and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering team across endpoints and ML.
• Own the roadmap and drive delivery of protection engines and features.
• Ensure cross-team planning and shared accountability for deployment to customers.
• Direct the team's machine learning work, including data quality and telemetry.
• Drive parity across Windows, macOS, and Linux, and manage vendor relationships.
• Represent the team externally through conferences, blogs, and customer engagements.
