Job summary

SpryPoint is seeking a Senior SDET to design and build our test automation framework from the ground up. You will write automated tests across API, integration, and UI, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback.

You will apply AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation while maintaining quality and reliability. You will be one of the first engineers on a new team, shaping testing patterns across the organization and mentoring peers to raise testing quality across squads

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software test automation or software engineering with a strong testing focus.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Solid API testing experience (Postman, REST Assured) and SQL/database validation.
• Hands-on CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Working knowledge of cloud (AWS) and containers (Docker).
• Pragmatic, risk-based mindset for what to automate.
• Experience with AI coding assistants or AI test-generation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the test automation framework and standards for the team.
• Write and maintain automated tests across API, integration, and UI layers.
• Prioritize automation by risk and value, favoring reliable API tests over brittle UI tests.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to run on every change.
• Reduce test flakiness and maintain a trustworthy suite.
• Evaluate AI-assisted testing tools and apply AI to accelerate test creation.
• Review AI-generated tests and code with a critical eye.
