Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) for its Contact Center QA team. You will build scalable test frameworks, own cross-functional testing, and ensure end-to-end quality of AI-driven features like AI Routing and Digital Agent workflows.

You will mentor engineers and work with product and development teams to maintain high reliability. You will design tests for UI, API, and database layers, leverage modern CI pipelines, and apply non-deterministic testing methodologies to

Qualifications

• 6+ years software development experience.
• Strong programming in Python or Java.
• Experience designing and building scalable test automation frameworks.
• Extensive use of AI coding agents for test generation and optimization.
• Polished written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience injecting tests in CI pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud tech and REST services.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement functional, regression, and end-to-end tests at UI, API, and database levels.
• Develop, execute, and analyze test runs for microservice capacity and key scenarios.
• Own the test strategy for Dialpad’s AI Contact Center systems: AI Routing, Digital Agent, Analytics.
• Leverage AI coding tools to generate tests and build test software.
• Provide detailed failure analysis to accelerate fixes.
• Define KPIs and report results across teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in design discussions and insert test hooks before development begins.
• Write reliable, maintainable code and mentor other engineers.
