Job summary

SpryPoint is hiring a Senior SDET to build a test automation framework from the ground up. You will design and own automated tests across API, integration, and UI layers, and bring AI-assisted tooling into the workflow.

This hands-on role offers high ownership as one of the first engineers on a new team, collaborating with QA and product squads. In the first 90 days, you’ll place the automation framework with a CI pipeline and establish meaningful coverage on critical flows, with ongoing

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software test automation or software engineering with a strong testing focus.
• Strong coding skills in at least one of Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Deep experience with a modern automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) including building or owning a framework.
• Solid API testing experience and comfort with SQL and database validation.
• Hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD and cloud (AWS) and containers (Docker).
• Experience using AI coding assistants or AI test-generation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the test automation framework and establish standards for engineers.
• Write and maintain automated tests across API, integration, and UI layers.
• Prioritize automation by risk and value, favoring API tests over brittle UI tests where possible.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD to run on every change and provide fast feedback.
• Mentor engineers on automation practices and improve testing quality across squads.
• Evaluate AI-assisted testing tools and apply AI tooling to accelerate test creation.
