Job summary

Crozier is seeking a Senior Roads Designer to join the Transportation Engineering team in either Burlington or Guelph. You will work on road design for municipal, regional and MTO projects, from preliminary to construction stages.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in road design, strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills, and knowledge of TAC, MTO and Ontario standards. The role offers Ontario-based opportunities with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated road design experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience on public sector road projects for municipalities, regions and/or MTO is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code and provincial/municipal standards.
• Understanding of construction staging, traffic management and constructability.

Responsibilities

• Produce plan and profile drawings, pavement markings, signage and cross-sections for road projects.
• Develop horizontal/vertical alignments and corridor models per TAC/MTO criteria.
• Prepare traffic signal drawings with the electrical group.
• Provide QA/QC for designs and support tendering and construction.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities and sub-consultants to expedite design.
• Mentor junior staff and review work for accuracy.
