Job summary

CIMA+’s Municipal & Transportation Design team is renowned for delivering transformative roadway projects across urban and rural settings. You will lead design components from concept through to final construction on major transportation initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility.

The role demands a CPA of Ontario-eligible P.Eng. credentials, 10+ years of roadway experience, and a proactive approach to keeping up with Civil 3D,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario (or immediately eligible).
• Minimum 10 years of roadway/highway design experience.
• Proven experience with MTO and municipal clients.
• Strong knowledge of highway engineering standards, policies, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway design components for major transportation projects from concept to completion.
• Act as a transportation engineer on MTO and municipal projects in preliminary and detailed design.
• Prepare and review technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform quality control reviews on plans, profiles, and design models in Civil 3D, InRoads, and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Conduct initial site inspections and support constructability reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, and internal project teams.
• Stay current with evolving CAD and roadway design tools and standards.
