Job summary

EXP is seeking an Intermediate Roadway Designer to join the Transportation team in Ontario, with opportunities to work on roadway/highway projects across Brampton, Markham, London or Hamilton. You will produce preliminary designs, review drawings, prepare specifications, and coordinate with clients and sub-consultants.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of highway design experience and is proficient in MicroStation, Openroads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Proficient in highway design software and standards.
• Experience with MTO/Metrolinx standards and approvals.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary design reports and designs for highways and local roads.
• Review drawings for compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants and construction supervision staff.
• Mentor junior staff within the division.
