Job summary

NADG is seeking a Lawyer with approximately 5 to 8 years of real estate and corporate transactional experience to join our legal team. This role requires taking on transactions with minimal oversight, solving problems, and driving business outcomes while managing risk.

The ideal candidate has experience leading sophisticated real estate deals, drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, development agreements, leases, and related documents, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • This role requires a law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, deal management and leadership skills.
  • Exposure to corporate law, corporate governance, financing, or commercial transactions is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex real estate transactions across Canada and the United States.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, joint venture agreements, leases, financing documents, easements, servicing agreements, and related documents.
  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, and asset management initiatives.
  • Work with business leaders to identify risks, evaluate opportunities, and develop practical solutions that advance business objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage external legal counsel when required.
  • Assist with corporate, governance, financing, and commercial matters and manage litigation and contracts.
  • Partner with senior executives and operating teams on strategic initiatives and transactions.
  • Provide timely, concise, and commercially focused legal advice.

Education

Law degree
Ontario Bar admission
