Job summary

Future Electronics is seeking a qualified lawyer to provide commercial, corporate, employment, compliance and operational legal support across the Americas and EMEA.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders and collaborate with legal colleagues across Canada, EMEA, and Asia to provide practical solutions while managing legal and business risk.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 4 to 10 years of commercial legal experience in private practice or an in-house environment.
• Fluent in both English and French.
• Strong commercial judgment and business acumen.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to legal problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate customer agreements, sales terms, and other commercial contracts.
• Review and negotiate supplier agreements, including distribution, warranty, indemnity, and termination provisions.
• Support business teams on commercial claims, product quality issues, warranty matters, and contract interpretation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents.
• Assist with office lease reviews and real estate-related documentation.
• Support Trade Compliance initiatives and contract-related compliance matters.
• Assist with privacy and data protection matters and related contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with legal team members globally on cross-border legal issues and internal initiatives.

Reporting to the Corporate VP, Legal & General Counsel (Americas & EMEA), you will provide legal advice and support on a broad range of commercial, corporate, employment, compliance, and operational matters across the Americas and EMEA.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal stakeholders throughout the organization and collaborate with legal colleagues across Canada, EMEA, and Asia. We are looking for a commercially minded lawyer who can provide practical solutions while helping manage legal and business risk.

Responsibilities

• Review and support the negotiation of customer agreements, sales terms, purchase terms, and other commercial contracts.
• Assist with the review and negotiation of supplier agreements, including distribution, warranty, indemnity, and termination provisions.
• Support business teams on commercial claims, product quality issues, warranty matters, and contract interpretation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents.
• Assist with office lease reviews and real estate-related documentation.
