Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Legal Counsel with a strong Real Estate Transactions background to join our client's legal department in Kimberley. This role will manage all legal aspects of the property's portfolio, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development projects.

You will provide expert advice on property law, contract negotiation, and risk management related to real estate. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in property law, excellent negotiation

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 6 years in real estate law.
• Experience in property transactions, leasing and conveyancing.
• Strong knowledge of South African property legislation and practice.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage complex property portfolios and legal risk.
• Experience in the Northern Cape property market is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all legal aspects of real estate transactions, including due diligence, acquisition and disposition.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, sale agreements, and development contracts.
• Advise on property law matters, zoning, land use and environmental regulations.
• Manage disputes related to property ownership, leases, and boundary issues.
• Coordinate with external counsel, surveyors, and other property professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property laws and regulations.
