Job summary

Beedie is seeking a Finance Leader to manage financial accounting and reporting for its Property Management operations and a 16 million sq ft portfolio. You will oversee GAAP compliance, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, guiding a team of seven property accountants and staff.

Qualifications

• University degree and accounting designation (CA, CPA, CGA, CMA).
• Proven leader with 5+ years in Property/Asset Management operations and accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, REALpac and financial reporting requirements.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Experience with Yardi or other property management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with collaboration.
• Organized self-starter capable of independent and team work.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing tasks.
• Strong attention to detail with awareness of the bigger picture.
• Experience creating dashboards in Power BI or similar visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic decision support to Property/Asset Management.
• Review budgets, forecasts, and cost recoveries; maximize tenant recoveries.
• Oversee cash flow, leases, and operating metrics; liaise with property managers.
• Review lease agreements; coordinate with management/legal.
• Oversee tax assessments and process improvements with Finance teams.
• Develop reporting dashboards for property and asset management ops.
