Job summary

Beedie is seeking a senior financial leader to oversee the Property Management accounting, reporting, and asset portfolio operations. You will provide strategic support, manage budgets and forecasts, and drive efficiency with a focus on cost recovery and cash flow optimization.

You will lead a small team, coordinate audits and investor reporting, and collaborate with Asset Management and Finance to ensure GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• University degree and accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA) required.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in property/asset management operations and accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reporting tools; experience with Yardi or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial decision support to Property/Asset Management teams.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, and year-end activities for property operations.
• Review budgets, forecasts, and cost recoveries; optimize cash flow and receivables.
• Coordinate audits, investor reporting, and cost allocations across entities.
• Lead a accounting team, coach staff, and implement process improvements.
