Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Canada to oversee construction management from pre-construction through completion, coordinating design, budget, and schedule with the Superintendent. You will ensure timely owner invoicing and subcontractor payments while maintaining strong client and architect relations.

The role requires a construction degree and 15+ years of experience with ICI projects, and a solid grasp of project scopes, scheduling, and contract software.

Qualifications

• You have a construction related degree/diploma and 15+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Experience in ICI construction projects considered an asset.
• Strong working knowledge of construction scopes, project scheduling, project management practices, and contract management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company.
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project's cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.
• Oversee a team and create opportunities for career development.

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction related degree/diploma and 15+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience

• Proven ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• The salary range for this job is $110,000 - $150,000 CAD
