Job summary

EllisDon in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Senior Project Manager with a deep civil construction background to lead projects from pre-construction through completion.

You will manage design coordination, budgets and schedules with the Superintendent, mentor a large team, and maintain strong client relations while ensuring project profitability and safe delivery on high-profile sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion, coordinating design, budget and schedule with the Superintendent.
• Prepare regular, accurate billings for Owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractors.
• Meet with Owners and Architects to communicate concerns and the company027s interests professionally.
• Monitor and forecast cost reports to align with estimates and maintain positive cash flow.
• Lead project meetings with internal/external parties to support team development.
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and raise risks to management.

You As a Senior Project Manager Will

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated

Is this the right role for you?

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in civil construction; minimum of 8 years in a Project Manager position
• Experience with structural piling, concrete work and tunneling is an asset
• You have the ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000
