Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Toronto is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex civil construction from pre-construction through completion, coordinating design, schedule and cost with the Superintendent and Owners. You will mentor a large team, manage client relations and ensure project profitability.

Minimum 15+ years in civil construction with 8+ years as a Project Manager; experience with piling, concrete and tunneling is assets. Competitive compensation and growth await.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget and schedule.
• Prepare regular billings for Owners and ensure timely subcontractor payments.
• Meet with Owners and Architects to communicate concerns and protect company interests.
• Monitor and forecast costs to keep project budgets in line and cash flow positive.
• Lead project meetings and report progress to Area Manager, escalating risks as needed.

You as a Senior Project Manager will:

• Provide overall construction management from pre-construction to completion including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent
• Prepare regular, timely and accurate billings for Owners, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings
• Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
• Monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow
• Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression
• Submit project reports to Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated
