Job summary

FortisBC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in British Columbia to lead engineering assessments, FEED studies, cost estimates and detailed design for major projects. You will supervise engineers, technologists and external consultants while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

You will partner with Operations, System Capacity and Integrity teams to drive process improvements and deliver reliable energy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience in natural gas pipeline and facility design with high level technical knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and execute work on time and on budget.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Advanced knowledge of computer systems and specialized software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering assessments, Front-End Engineering Design studies and cost estimates for Major Projects.
• Oversee detailed design and field engineering activities; manage a team of engineers, technologists and consultants.
• Provide technical leadership to Operations, System Capacity and Integrity units.
