Job summary
Pratt & Whitney Canada is seeking a Production Supervisor for the MED Shop in Longueuil. You will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of a 55+ person department focused on experimental development manufacturing, prototyping, and production part repairs.
You will lead a diverse team, implement continuous improvement projects, and ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery while coordinating with engineering, programming, logistics, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Proficiency in French (fluent) and English (functional)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts (5S, Gemba walks)
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP software such as SAP and ITDM is an asset
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience in an aerospace/manufacturing environment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations in the MED Shop for multiple aeronautical part families
- Promote health, safety, and quality practices and KPIs across the team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage staffing and training
- Coordinate with manufacturing engineering, programming, logistics, and maintenance teams
- Hire and coach staff; develop supervisors and team leads
- Monitor productivity, costs, delivery, and quality targets and implement corrective actions
- Lead change management and foster employee engagement
