Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Construction Manager in the Program Management department to lead the execution of transmission and distribution construction projects. You will report to the Manager of Construction Services and oversee safety, quality, scheduling, and contractual compliance across multiple on-site activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction, maintenance, controls or commissioning of substations and/or power lines with an electrical focus.
• Ability to interface with engineering and management levels.
• Demonstrated leadership across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for planning, cost control, materials management, safety and change management on Transmission & Distribution projects.
• On-site PSSP PIC duties, after erection inspection and offline construction supervision.
• Coordinate staging, energization sequencing, and development of staging plans.
• Ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Act as single point of contact between field crew and Qualus Engineering.
• Manage Safety, Environmental, Quality Plans and change processes; handle RFI and NCR workflows.
• Assist PM with scope, bid evaluation, and scheduling; identify outages.
• Implement continuous improvements to project performance and maintain client relationships.
• Monitor progress daily/weekly/monthly; escalate issues to protect schedule.
• Oversee construction documentation and energization paperwork.
