Job summary

Qualus Corporation in Vancouver, BC is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of transmission and distribution projects. You will oversee safety, quality, scheduling, and coordination among field teams, engineering, and clients.

The role requires a strong electrical background, extensive construction leadership experience, and willingness to travel within BC to remote sites. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a base salary aligned with market

Qualifications

10+ years experience in construction, maintenance, controls or commissioning of Substations and/or Power Lines.
Strong electrical background and academic qualifications to interface with engineering and management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
Willingness to travel to remote site locations within BC.

Responsibilities

Lead on-site safety duties and oversee inspection and energization sequencing.
Coordinate staging, equipment listing, and safety hazards resolutions.
Ensure work meets drawings, standards, and contract requirements.
Act as single point of contact between construction workforce and Qualus Engineering.
Manage Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Plans.
Collaborate with Project Manager on scope, bid evaluation, and outages.
Drive continuous improvements to project performance.
Maintain contractual responsibilities and client relationships.
Monitor progress and report schedule variances daily/weekly/monthly.
