Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit through closeout.

You will oversee transmission, distribution, and substation work, manage scope, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and client relationships, with travel and field leadership emphasis. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction project management for power delivery, strong leadership, and proficiency in PM tools, with a safety-first

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management within transmission, distribution, utility, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong knowledge of T&D construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
• Proficiency with project management scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Support project planning for transmission lines, distribution upgrades, and substation scopes.
