Job summary

Kinectrics Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineer to lead transformer testing, diagnostics, and life extension projects across Canada. You will supervise field and laboratory work, analyze data, and provide engineering recommendations to ensure reliable power assets.

Based in Toronto, the role requires a PE designation or eligibility and at least eight years of relevant experience. A client-facing, collaborative engineer with strong communication skills will thrive in this team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• P.E. designation in Canada or eligibility.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in power transformers or high voltage equipment.
• Experience leading field and laboratory projects.
• Strong project management, technical writing, and client relations skills.
• Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, CIGRE, CSA standards and life extension projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformer testing, diagnostics, condition assessment, maintenance and life extension projects.
• Perform root cause analyses and forensic investigations of transformer failures.
• Provide technical reports, recommendations and client presentations.
• Develop proposals, scopes of work and cost estimates for transformer engineering and testing.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary field service teams.
